It's that time of the year again.

So... I've been absent on blogging. Again. >_>

For those that know me, they will certainly know the reason behind my blogging absence.

I've switched from food blogging on katcanrawr.com to doing a mini food blog series on www.nightitup.com, among many other things for Night It Up! and Paint-A-Thon.

For a little background info, Night It Up! is the first night market in Toronto & GTA. We've gone through the names of Asian Night Market, Toronto Night Market, and now Night It Up! for branding purposes. But it's still the same people behind it all - the same non-profit youth group. And for the past 3 years before the last, this is what I've been working on every spring and summer.

While the event is now only a day away, watching it all come together feels so surreal. I remember how everyone was worried that we would lose patrons since we are moving to Markham this year. A new location after 9 solid years at Metro Square, where we had over 60 000 people coming every year for our two-day event. But now seeing how our Facebook event has over 10 000 confirmed attendees, I don't know what to say. 10 k people has said YES I'M COMING TO NIGHT IT UP!. As an organizer for Night It Up! for so many years, I don't know the words to describe how this makes me feel. A mix of overwhelmed and happy? But mostly awe.

To be honest, I don't remember the last time I worked so hard on a project. It's a love-hate relationship, that's for sure. Especially with my inbox. But in the end, I know it's all worth it.

Night It Up! & Paint-A-Thon - Friday, July 15th & Saturday, July 16th. Please come and support our philanthropic event.
Street eats - check out my food guide to see a preview of what to eat besides your usual meat skewers, stinky tofu and bubble tea!
Movie - Watch the awesome Donnie Yen in Ip Man 2 << 葉問 2 >> on a giant screen outdoors and under the sky full of stars! For free.
Sportszone - CCYAA hosts their famous volleyball and basketball night tournament at Night It Up! every year. This year, they're expanding their SportsZone to include lots more, including an autograph session with MMA fighters and an X-box gaming zone.
Paint-A-Thon - You've ran, you've climbed and now you can paint for a cause. This is what it's all about. Support Free The Children and our art community with your presence!
Parking & Bussing - 8000+ FREE parking spaces near the venue. No car? We're providing a free shuttle bus service from Steeles Ave. & Warden Ave. to our event for our lovely patrons. Really, no other excuse not to come now.

Craziest festival of the summer, hands down. You won't want to miss it.
