If there are still any readers of this blog, I applaud you. Even I, have lost faith in myself for continuing to write restaurant reviews and to post about my travel experiences. Truth is, I've fallen into a slump. Instead of looking forward to share my dining experiences, this has turned into a nagging chore that I've constantly pushed to the back of my mind. And it doesn't help where there are so many food blogs out there, so many amazing ones that I personally follow and so many more that are at least regularly updated.
But then... I decided to come back and hope to re-spark that little flame. I still adore food, yearn to travel and have lots of pictures to prove both.
I've realized that no one really seems to blog about the Asian eateries on this side of town. I guess this is where katcanrawr specializes in: HK-style cafes and Chinese restaurants in Markham/Richmond Hill. This is what happens when you're born into a frugal family that has developed an acquired and exclusive taste of Asian cuisines and nothing else.
I have also created a tab above called Best of Toronto. It's really just a list of common cravings I get and the restaurants I'd go to curb it; whether it's xiaolongbao 小籠包, a nice, cool glass of HK iced tea or the best sashimi in town. Hopefully this will help some hungry readers out there who think the same way as I do.
No worries, I will update this Best of Toronto list as I have with The Index of Reviews. And don't forget the map that I've conveniently organized to see which restaurants I've reviewed are in your geographic area.
And because a post wouldn't be interesting unless there's a picture, here's a photo I took of the Grand Canyon (or a side of it) from my trip last month (it's huuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggeeeee):

aw, thanks guys!
Hugs to all of you! And cookies are available to be picked up at my house :)
Keep up the good job! I always look at your blog for insights as to where to eat in Markham and Richmond Hill. Other food blogs cannot replace yours. Your taste of food is closer to Hongkonger like us.
